Established in Australia in 2015, Agile began as a specialist managing general agent built around experienced underwriters, strong broker relationships and a commitment to making insurance simpler and more efficient.
Since then, the business has grown rapidly. In May 2024, Agile established Lloyd’s Syndicate 2427, marking an important step in its evolution from a local underwriting agency into a broader international insurance group. Agile has also expanded its operations into London and New Zealand, while continuing to build its presence across a growing range of specialist insurance classes.
Throughout that growth, Agile has remained focused on the qualities that shaped the business from the beginning: deep underwriting expertise, entrepreneurial thinking and practical technology. Its team brings more than 500 years of combined insurance experience, much of it gained in international markets and at Lloyd’s, supported by the continued development of Powered By Agile, its proprietary digital platform for brokers and underwriting partners.
